Rarity Collection V: The “Extended Art” Debut is Finally Here (RA05)

If you thought rarity collections had already hit their peak, Konami just dropped the technical details for the 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection V (RA05). This isn’t just another reprint set; it’s the official debut of a visual style we’ve been waiting years for in the West. Here are the real facts on what you’ll find inside every pack.

Extended Art Cards RA05

EXAMPLE OF “EXTENDED ART” VARIANTS

The big news for RA05 is the premiere of the first 10 Extended Art cards. From a pool of 68 variant art cards, you will always receive one in the fifth slot of every pack. This slot is independent, and the card will always be either an Ultra Rare or a Starlight Rare.

In this collection, every single card is foil, and the drop rates for “luxury” rarities work independently in each slot, allowing Platinum or Ultimate versions to appear more frequently:

  • Super Rare: Guaranteed from the main pool.
  • Ultra Rare Slots: 1 in 6 chance of upgrading to Ultimate Rare or Collector’s Rare.
  • Secret Rare: The final slot has a 1 in 4 chance of being a Platinum Secret Rare or a Starlight Rare.

CONFIRMED VARIANT ARTS FOR RA05

The set features heavy-hitters like Chaos Angel, Kashtira Fenrir, and Visas Starfrost. One important rule: cards that were previously released as Starlight Rares will not repeat that specific art in that rarity, though they can still appear in all other variants within the set.

Rarity Collection V (RA05) officially launches on April 10, 2026. With the addition of these new visual variants, this set is expected to sell out fast during the pre-order phase.
